| Frequently
asked questions about the Buster Cubes |
 |
What
is the difference between the two Buster Cubes? |
| The
BUSTER Food Cube is made for large dog breeds, weight over 10 kg, eg
labrador, boxer, collie. The Buster Mini Cube is made for small dog
breeds, weight under 10 kg, eg dachshund, chihuahua, pekingese. |
| How
can I get maximum benefit from the Buster Cube? |
 |
| By
using it as much as possible with the dog. The more you activate the
dog with the Buster Cube, the more pleased the dog will get using
it, and the more the companionship between you and your dog is strengthened.
|
 |
Are
all dogs able to use the Buster Cube? |
| Yes,
the cube rolls very easily and the dog does not need a lot of strength
to activate the cube. Just remember that the Buster Food Cube is for
large dogs and the Buster Mini Cube for small dogs. |
| How
do I teach my dog to use a Buster Cube? |
 |
| When
the dog is introduced to a Buster Cube for the first time, the degree
of difficulty is set at "max". Fill the cube with dry food, approx.
one spoonful. Rotate the Buster Cube a couple of times to distribute
the food in the cube. Place the Buster Cube on the floor or ground
with the hole facing upwards and let the dog smell at the hole. Push
the Cube for the dog so that he can see how it works and soon learn
what to do. In no time it will be necessary to change the degree of
difficulty. Another good way of teaching the dog how to use the cube
is to give it its usual dry food by means of the Buster Cube. When
the dog scents the well-known smell of food, it will activate the
cube to get the food out. |
 |
How
do I adjust the level of difficulty? |
| You
can turn the inner tube from min. to max. When it is turned to max,
the opening is widest and the largest amount of food will get out.
Max. is the easy level and min. is the difficult level. |
| How
do I clean the cube? |
 |
| The
Buster Cube is easy to clean if necessary. It is for example safe
to put it in the dish washer. It goes without saying that it has to
be difficult to remove the inner tube or the dog would much too easily
be able to get it out and bite it to pieces. Therefore we recommend
that you do not remove it unless it is absolutely necessary. |
 |
What
do I do if I have more than one dog? |
| That
is very simple; one Buster Cube per dog, or disturbance and problems
will arise, especially if one of the dogs empties the Cube faster
than the other. Also, if you have a large and a small dog, you will
need to have both a Buster Food Cube and a Buster Mini Cube. |
| What
type of food can I use in a Buster Cube? |
 |
| First
and foremost it does of course have to be dry food and preferably
the dry food you usually give your dog. You can also use treats, but
be aware of the fact that you are giving the dog extra calories and
therefore you have to reduce the amount of its usual food to avoid
obesity. |
 |
